Different Types of Collars - Design

This week I first practiced sewing a zip into a piece of fabric as shown in the image below. This technique will be used many times in my future work and the technique will be kept for life.
We also learnt different collars this week and made half a man's shirt to a half scale so that we could learn how to sew a collar onto a shirt. The images below show the patterns and the shirt that I made and a sleeve with a cuff.
The techniques used to make the half shirt shown above are quite simple and will be knowledge kept forever that will help me to create different garments.
